Heather's Perfect Place to Live
A heart-warming real life story from my friend, Heather who is also moving to Victoria, BC, Canada.

Heather's story:

Heather wrote this post to a group of Spirit Coaches that I belong to. We have been fine-tuning our lives in light of the Law of Attraction and Heather demonstrates this in a very practical way.

Relax, grab a cup of coffee/tea, breath deep and enjoy.

Heather: As most of you know, I am currently dwelling in my parents basement and assuming the task of caretaking the house, property, dog and horses when they are away. This has given me a great place to study from and engross myself in Coaching from Spirit and has also allowed my parents to take some much needed vacations and holidays. Their house is very large, has a view of a green wooded valley with a lake, tree's all around and also a pool. I was definitely in appreciation for my space and surroundings.

I had wanted a summer off to relax and rejuvenate and as my intention was stated that is what I was receiving. I found it wonderfully relaxing and peaceful. No resistance - but no desire either.  

Then the other day I heard a little voice that said - "It's time to move". I felt no resistance other than the thought of where to move to. So I sat down and wrote out the essence of where I would like to live. They were openness, light, spacious, beauty, serenity, joyfilled, peaceful and although this is not an essence I wanted it to be by the ocean. To be able to see the ocean and also have lots of greenery around me. Nature seems to energize me and bring me to a whole new level of vibrations.

So after writing all these down, I sat with it for a few more days until I heard that inner voice once again saying "It's time to take a trip". Upon asking where to, the thought came to go to Victoria (that's an island in B.C. Canada) As I thought about this it came to my attention that Rebecca who is taking the Marketing From Spirit course was moving there, we talked and it seemed to confirm that this would be the next logical step for me to take.

I looked on the internet and found a B&B (bed and breakfast) that I liked the name of. It was called the Palace on Dallas (Dallas being the name of the road) but the reservation site said they were full. Listening to my inner guidance, I called and sure enough, they had a room available for the time that I wish to be there. At this point I asked all my class-mates to hold the intention for me finding the absolute perfect place for me to be in at this time. And so, my dear classmates, the rest of this journey is for you - and from your pure positive energy being in alignment with all that is, the story just gets better and better.

I actually just went to check out the energetics of the land and to see if it would be a match for me. As I got on the ferry to travel to Victoria, I started to feel lighter and could feel myself breathing deeper. Of course, the sun was shining and the smell of the sea was intoxicating. I met a lady on the ferry (just by chance) who was reading Deepak Choprah - How to Know God. We got talking about what we did and she was very excited about me being a Spirit Coach and took my name and email.

Arriving at the B&B it really was a Palace. An old house that had been fully restored to it's former glory that was situated right next to the water. I walked the beach and felt like I had come home.  

Thinking that I had to live right by the ocean, I started to look for a house next to the water. What I found was that if I wanted to live in that close proximity that there was also the factor of noise. The ocean amplified the noise of the cars and the road is between the houses and water. So, I was finding some contrast and getting better able to define what I did want.

I then took a drive the next day about an hour out of town to a lovely spot on the ocean where I thought it would be more peaceful. Even though the scenery was lovely and it was quieter, the vibratory level seemed much lower. I looked at a couple of nice apartments on the water and discovered that maybe, just maybe, I didn't want to live in an apartment. It felt very alien to me as for most of my life have lived in a house. More contrast, how wonderful!  

Upon coming back to Victoria I thought that I should probably look in the paper to see what the price was for rentals and what was available. One ad caught my eye. Looking back at the ad there was nothing really special about it but this was the ad that I was guided to call. I went to see the place only to find that I was the first person to call and first to view.

It is lovely. It is an old tutor style house built in 1903. You go down a long driveway off the main street and it is situated amongst old trees in a sheltered area. The woman who owns the house said that it had at one time been divided up in 5 suites for resale and then the deal had fallen through. She then purchased the house and she and her son have been restoring it to it's original state. She rents out 3 suites and she lives in one and her son and his wife live in another. All the time she is showing me things, I keep asking for Spirit to give me a sign.

• It faces south she said and has 2 fireplaces
• It has high ceilings and hardwood floors
• The colour is a warm buttery cream colour with white trim
• The bathroom is done in green with original fixtures - deep, deep, deep
• tub. One that you can immerse your whole body into
• The living room is very open and looking out through the south facing windows there is a view of the ocean
• And quiet - the trees and plants muffle the distant noise from the road

But still I ask Spirit to give me a sign. 

So she said in the suite next door lives a man that works from home and is a stockbroker. (I play the stock market a bit and always wanted to know more about it.)

I keep asking.

She said that the gentleman that lives upstairs is a Professor of Geography and he is writing a book and doing a great deal of traveling to exotic places. (I love to travel and have been thinking about writing.)

And still I ask.

There is a sun deck that faces south off the bedroom from which I can see the ocean and there is room to put lots of plants on it. As I'm talking about plants she says that her son who lives just below me is very much into bonsai tree and if I ever want to see any I just need to look over my deck and there is this beautiful miniature forest. (I just bought a book on creating bonsai trees last week and had thought that I might like to start working in that medium)

And still I didn't say yes.

Oh and by the way, the house is right next to the Governor Generals house. He has a huge garden (about 5 acres) with gardeners and the grounds are open to anyone who wished to use them from dawn til dusk every day.

I said I would have to think about it as this was the first place that I had viewed. As we began talking I told her what I did and that I was a Spirit Coach. She was very interested and as I was leaving said to me that she would really, really love for me to rent the place and that it was more important to her to rent it to the right person than to just rent it. And by the way the rent would go toward the final restoration of the building.

Off I went to contemplate my future with a knot in my stomach over the commitment that begged to be made. The rent was $150 more than I wanted to pay and it was a one year lease.  

Here's where I found ego/spirit dialogue a great help. People were looking at me funny as I proceeded down the seawall carrying on a 2-way conversation.

Ego would talk and then Spirit would very gently answer.

Ego brought up all my fears and doubts -

• Too much rent
• Not enough money
• Commitment
• All this spirit stuff is fine and well, but what about the real world
• What if I don't make any friends
• What if I don't attract any clients
• What if
• What if
• What if

Spirit very quietly and lovingly answered all the what if's and supported me to raise my vibration and pivot from any seeming issues. I went through all my essences and found that all of them had been met. I still don't know the all the answers but I'm trusting the process.  

I phoned and took the apartment (you didn't think I would write all this without a happy ending did you?) and all of a sudden felt very grown up.

It's a different feeling, like an honouring of oneself. Being connected to Spirit with a knowing that this is the correct path and direction.

Things just kept flowing all the time I was gone. I signed the papers the next day and paid my deposit. I gave my notice at the B&B and they found someone to take my reservation so I didn't have to pay for the extra days.

I met this wonderful couple who were on their honeymoon. (they had been married for 6 years- second marriages, but this was the first time they had been away together without children). They were so much in love and so honouring of each others spirit. She had put an ad in the paper after her first marriage and it was something to the effect of - Queen size woman with big heart looking for a man who knows how to love and is willing to receive.

This was such a confirmation for me as I could see that there was something more out there and in a much different way than my first marriage. On the ferry ride home, I met another person who was fascinated by Spirit Coaching and she took my email and is going to get in touch with me.  

This weekend was a total confirmation of Spirit in action. It was a time of contrast and wanting. It was manifesting at it's finest. I am now in a place of desiring. I now have great desire to attract more clients to my coaching practise.
